What We Offer

Carleva Bay is a large, beachside villa with rooms that can accommodate double, triple, or quadruple occupancy, and occasionally more! We have three spacious bedrooms, each with its own en suite full bathroom. The Great Hall, our massive living room, is perfect for large gatherings, classes, or events. Do you like great food? Our kitchen is well suited for groups, small or large, and is also equipped for catered events. Like dining al fresco? The courtyard is the heart of our home, a place where we dine under the stars with a beautiful view of the sea–we have even held family movie nights here! We are committed to providing the environment in which relaxation, community service, and experientially-rich learning occurs. In context, we offer:

Our Rooms

All of the bedrooms at Carleva Bay are spacious and comfortable. Each unit has an en suite bathroom, ceiling fans and at least one portable floor fan. There is ample storage space in each room including closets and dressers. Bedding and towels are provided. The bedrooms open onto the inner courtyard which faces the sea, and all the doors have side panels with wooden slats for additional ventilation. Bedroom windows and door panels all have screens to let in the cool ocean breeze. There is a powder room in the courtyard along with a shower to rinse off after a dip in the sea, and there are also three additional outdoor showers in the back garden next to the house. We can accommodate groups of up to 12 – 13 people at the house, and more in several nearby locations through our partner network. Ready to book? Make a reservation with us or through AirBnB!

Rates are as follows:

High Season (November – April)

$106 USD per night (first one or two people, minimum stay two nights), each additional person $50 USD per night, per person.

Chef for Hire

Our wonderful on site chef is available for hire, we are able to accommodate large groups, events, special diets and dietary restrictions. Contact us and let us know what you need!

Low Season (May – October)

$95 USD per night (first one or two people, minimum stay two nights), each additional person $45 USD per night, per person.

Excursions and Airport Transfer

For larger groups we can arrange transportation to Carleva from the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston. We can also arrange excursions to any of the places described on this site, and more. Let us know your interests and we’ll make it happen!

SEASIDE ROOM

Seaside is our master bedroom. The largest of our three units, it comes with extra-large closets and a spacious bathroom. This room can easily fit larger-than-usual groups of up to 6 people. Children love the bunk beds; an additional bunk bed can be added to the room if desired. Of the remaining beds, one is a double and the rest are twin. Sea breezes from both windows will keep you cool as the ocean lulls you to sleep.

SEAVIEW ROOM

One of the special features features of the Seaview Room is the entrance. A cozy space with a couple of chairs and a small table, it’s like a personal indoor living space. The Seaview Room can accomodate up to 4 people with its one double bed, a single bed, and a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a single on top.

GARDEN GROVE ROOM

This cozy, peachy bedroom faces our beautiful garden. The Garden Grove Room can be set up for 2 to 4 people, as it is outfitted with 2 single beds and, if desired, a bunk bed. The door panels act as a second window, bringing in sea breezes from the courtyard.

Enjoy comfort and community – we have three bedrooms that can host up to 13 individuals! Perfect for groups, spiritual and corporate retreats, families, academic groups, and absolutely everyone in between.

Invest in the local community, and watch it invest in you. Draw on our experience of over 15 years of not-for-profit work in St. Thomas with local schools, hospitals and support centres.

On-site chef for hire

Experience authentic Jamaican cuisine from the local community. Everything from jerk chicken, Jamaican patties, fish tea—a savory bouillon—all while sipping mango wine made from our very own mango grove!

Read on the swings in the garden, gaze at the stars, and let the ocean lull you to sleep. Make friends with the local pups napping in the garden amid the cacti and fruit trees.
