Sitting squarely between Kingston and Carleva Bay, Cane River Falls is a local favourite. The road is not ideal, but the drive to the falls beautiful and picturesque. Be wary of potholes. The falls themselves are often cited as the most impressive natural falls in east Jamaica, and the pools at the base of the falls pleasant and clean enough to bathe in.
Reportedly this was a favourite spot of Jamaican local Bob Marley to relax and wash his dreadlocks in privacy. Several murals of Marley are dotted around the site.
